Director of IT Service Operations Location: NE Atlanta
Required Experience: • BA Degree • Minimum 6 – 8 years prior job related experience with at least 5 years leading a datacenter operations team in a mission critical software service delivery environment - ideally from a financial or healthcare organization • Experience in data processing, applications and systems architecture and integrating with production systems required • Outstanding problem solving skills • Experience implementing an IT controls framework • excellent written and verbal communication skills • excellent customer service skills • Requires project management and organizational skills • Requires proven technical skills and negotiation skills • Requires proven leadership and managerial skills
Job Duties: • Oversees all day-to-day operational activities of the production data center, 24x7 • Leads operations personnel to conduct operations responsibilities and directs their daily activities. Manage team members to complete computer operations work, resolve problems, and ensure that standards for quality are met. Design operations team structure, roles and responsibilities for optimal efficiency in delivering Service Level Agreements • Acts as the company focal point for ASP service to the customers, coordinating with Senior Management, to take the necessary actions to provide high quality of service to customers • Oversee and drive Change, Incident and Problem Management processes • Coordinate with vendors, maintain and manage data center facilities infrastructure to include HVAC, fire suppression systems, UPS, generator etc • Experience creating and adhering to Service/Operating Level Agreements and systems procedural documentation in order to drive continual service improvement • Ensures the development and adherence of policies and procedures for carrying out computer operations • Consults with personnel in application development, IT and support to coordinate activities, issue resolution and client care as necessary. Assist application development teams and competency centers to develop effective systems infrastructure for the business needs • Implement systems and processes to ensure all systems are appropriately monitored, secured, and backed up • Responsible for the development and execution of disaster recovery program at client disaster recovery site • Present and deliver monthly Managed Services performance report to senior management • Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the service operations area passes annual internal, 3rd party and federal compliance audits
