Return to Job Search   Sr. Project/Pilot Manager Mar 4, 2010 McLean, VA     Requirements Sr. Project/Pilot Manager-Business Transformation Office Location: McLean, Virginia Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 Clearance: TS/SCI + CI Poly Overview: The Business Transformation Office (BTO) was established to lead the Intelligence Community in transforming business services and practices and improve the ability of the Community to operate efficiently as an enterprise. It is responsible for designing and implementing a framework to fulfill the strategic vision – transforming the IC business processes, people, and technology to improve decision-making capabilities, thereby enhancing responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. The BTO will need to: • Strengthen linkages between priorities, strategies, performance, and investments; • Increase overall financial integrity (audit ability and accountability) and improve the Community’s ability to meet congressional and regulatory FM requirements; • Update, streamline, and improve financial management processes using “best-of-breed” solutions and Government and industry leading practices; and • Re-direct cost-savings achieved through efficiencies to existing and emerging national security priorities. Roles and Responsibilities: • Manage assigned pilot project(s) in accordance with PMO BT project Management standard processes and procedures • Assist with optimizing pilot project strategy and definition • Manage scope of pilot project and monitor change requests • Develop, manage and monitor pilot project schedules and perform time estimates for change requests • Develop, manage and monitor pilot project budget and perform budget estimates for change requests • Manage pilot project resources and staffing (matrix resources) and alert management to any potential problems • Prepare communications i.e. status reports, pilot performance, etc. as requested • Analyze pilot project risks and provide mitigation strategies/plans • Advise management of any procurement activities required to support the pilot project • Refine, manage and monitor pilot project results • Capture and share lessons learned and best practices • Perform other duties as assigned by BTO leadership Qualifications: • BS degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Project Management or related field • 10 years experience project management including Information Technology (IT) projects, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects, and pilot/proof of concept projects • Must be PMP or PgMP certified • Must be a proven self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Well organized and detailed oriented • Exceptional project management, problem solving and written communication skills required • Must be mature and responsible leader with the ability to both work in teams as well as to lead, drive and motivate teams • Must have demonstrated ability to develop and manage high performing team of matrixed personnel • Familiar with MS office applications, knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Information Technology (IT) projects • Familiar with financial management, human resource management, government acquisition management and/or government asset management desirable Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly An Industrial Security Staff Approval/Top Secret (ISSA/TS) clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a full field background investigation and a counter-intelligence polygraph test.   Compensation and Benefits   Offering comprehensive benefits package including: Highly competitive salaries 401k, including competitive matching Profit-sharing plan Business development and referral bonuses Health insurance, including long-term care Tuition assistance   Apply If you have previously submitted your resume input your login and password and click apply.
